This database is managed by its unique IDB and SDB technologies which permits updating and optimizing of the database in real time. IDB stands for "Integrated Database," in which all data is organized by address and household. IDB covers the entire nation and lists over 44 million households. Since the total number of households in Japan is 46 million (in the year 2000 according to the Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, P&T), it can be said that IDB covers almost all households in Japan.
Furthermore, IDB provides a function for multiple search and selection not only by address but by other segmentation keys such as age or gender.
