Landscape Consumer Data Protection Compliance
Consumer Data Management
  1. Landscape appoints a management representative that oversees all sections to insure data is handled and managed properly.
  2. Landscape deals with our clients` data within the scope of complete fiduciary obligation. For clients, complete protection of customer data is offered and guaranteed.
  3. Offers of consumer data to third parties will always be written within the scope of the terms of the contract, and if prohibited or limited will not be carried-out.
  4. Landscape manages consumer data safely and properly, and strives to prevent unlawful access to consumer data, and loss, damage, leakage, and alteration of consumer data.
  5. Landscape complies with "Guidelines Concerning Protection of Computer Processed Personal Data in the Private Sector" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (former Ministry of International Trade and Industry), and the "Guidelines Concerning Protection of Personal Data Related to Direct Mail " incorporated by the Japan Direct Mail Association.
  6. Landscape sets up In-house Compliance Programs regarding consumer data protection, to ensure executive officers and employees continue to review and improve customer data protection, management and handling.

Director Yasukazu Yamaguchi has been appointed as the In-house Privacy Executive Representative since May 1, 2002.
MPS Registration
The Japan Direct Mail Association operates the registration system for any consumer who does not wish to receive direct mail. Landscape participates to the Mail Preference Service (MPS) for direct mail. This service removes particular customers from a mailing list upon request from the consumer, which aims to protect the privacy of consumers.
Auto MPS Registration
The data of consumer who does not wish to receive the direct mail will be removed fully automatically by calling toll-free number printed on the envelop and input the number of mailing label. Landscape's automatic MPS system is patent pending.
Consumer Information Protection Team
Landscape takes great precautions to insure that individual consumer information is protected and used properly. We have set-up a team to supervise the creation of work-flows, manuals and data management guidelines for data handling.
